2000/2001 TACT CUP Triathlon Series Race 2

ACT CLASSIC DISTANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

DATE: Sunday, 3 December 2000

RACE VENUE: Acton Ferry, Lake Burley Griffin

DISTANCE: Olympic Distance - 1.5km swim/40km cycle/10km run

ENTRIES CLOSE: 5.00pm Monday, 27 November 2000.

LATE ENTRIES: Late entries will be accepted with an additional $5.00 late entry fee until 4.30pm Saturday.

ELITE ENTRY: Athletes wishing to race the Elite Category must meet the Elite criteria, have their entry accepted by Triathlon ACT, and pay a $20.00 premium in addition to the normal race entry fee.

REGISTRATION: Saturday, 2 December between 3.00pm and 4.30pm at the Novice race site.

LATE REGISTRATION: Sunday, 3 December between 5.30am and 6.30am at the race site.

RACE START TIME: 7.00am

COURSE DETAILS: All athletes start from Transition Compound, along Barrine Dr, left into Albert St, left onto Commonwealth Ave, left onto down ramp into Parkes Way. Along Parkes Way, continue along into Tuggeranong Parkway, left onto Cotter Rd offramp, left into Cotter Rd, continue through roundabout onto Adelaide Ave. Left onto State Circle, left into Flynn Dr, straight through roundabout continuing on Flynn Dr under Commonwealth Ave Bridge, left at the traffic lights onto King Edward Tce. Left onto Kings Ave Bridge, across the bridge, left onto Parkes Way, continue on Parkes Way and repeat 1st loop until Flynn Dr, where at the roundabout you turn right into Coronation Dr, left onto Commonwealth Ave, across bridge towards the city, 1st left off the bridge back into Albert St, right back into Barrine Dr, along to Transition Compound.

WAVE START TIMES: 7.00am Elite Male, 7.02am Elite Female, 7.04am Junior Elite Male, 7.06am Junior Elite Female, 7.16am Age Group individual Females, 7.21am Age Group 35 and over individual males & all teams, 7.26am Age Group 34 and under individual males

PRIZE MONEY: Prize money for Elite Waves, product vouchers for age group winners.
