(all activities at Commonwealth Park unless otherwise indicated)
The course is one lap in a clockwise direction: starting off the lake wall, swim 300m straight out to the first turn buoy, swim 150m to the second turn buoy, swim 300m to the exit and get out via scaffolding steps.
The cycle consists of a 20k loop on Parkes Way, Tuggeranong Parkway, Cotter Road, Adelaide Avenue, State Circle, Kings Avenue, Parkes Way.
Exit from transition at the western end of the compound where the Mount zone is marked. Proceed along Parkes Way and onto the Tuggeranong Parkway. Take the exit ramp (left) onto Cotter Road, continue up Cotter Rd and onto Adelaide Avenue. Continue along Adelaide Avenue, turn left into State Circle, staying in the left hand lane, and proceed around to Kings Avenue where you turn left.
Follow Kings Avenue, cross Kings Avenue Bridge and turn left (west) onto Parkes Way.
As you approach Anzac Parade, veer left into the carpark where the transition is situated and dismount at the zone marked.
The run consists of two laps of 2.5k (1.25k out and 1.25k back), on the cycle path from Commonwealth Park towards Kings Avenue Bridge. At all times, keep to the left hand side of the cycle path.
Exit the transition and proceed onto the cycle path heading (east) towards Kings Avenue Bridge. Cross Wendouree Drive and follow the bike path as it passes the Carillon. Approaching Kings Avenue Bridge, take the new section of cycle path to the right that leads around under the bridge.
The turnaround point will be marked by cones and a marshal.
Return on the same path (keeping to the left) to the turnaround point on the cycle path in front of the transition area. This completes one lap.
On the final (second) lap, return back the same way towards Commonwealth Park and enter the finish chute by exiting the cycle path to the left just over the little bridge at the eastern end of the grassed area. Proceed along the finish chute to the finish line and recovery area.
The course is completely closed to traffic. The race consists of eight laps (each of 5km) starting at the kerb at the west end of the car park at the bottom of Anzac Parade, exit turning left onto Parkes Way. Continue west to Coranderrk St roundabout, turn right around the median strip on the inside lane, (do not proceed around the actual roundabout) and back along Parkes Way east towards Anzac Parade.
At the roundabout at the bottom of Anzac Parade, turn left and head (north) up the western side of Anzac Parade. Continue through the traffic lights at Constitution Avenue and turn right at Currong Street and right again around the median strip to head back down the eastern side of Anzac Parade. Turn left at the roundabout onto Parkes Way heading east.
At the Kings Avenue roundabout, turn right around the median strip on the inside lane, (closed to traffic - not proceeding around the actual roundabout) and back down along Parkes Way towards Anzac Parade.
Reaching the roundabout at the bottom of Anzac Parade completes one lap. On the final (eighth) lap, proceed into the car park at the bottom of Anzac Parade and finish at the curb where the dismount is marked.

Return on the same path (keeping to the left) to the turnaround point on the cycle path in front of the transition area. This completes one lap.
On the final (fourth) lap, return back the same way towards Commonwealth Park and enter the finish chute by exiting the cycle path to the left just over the little bridge at the eastern end of the grassed area. Proceed along the finish chute to the finish line.
One lap, anti-clockwise, triangular course, 600m to first turn buoy, 300m to second turn buoy, 600m to exit via scaffolding steps. Start off the beach to the western end of Commonwealth Park.
The cycle consists of a 40k loop on Parkes Way, William Hovell Drive, Coppins Crossing Road, Cotter Road, Tuggeranong Parkway, Lady Denman Drive, Cotter Road, Dunrossil Drive, Adelaide Avenue, State Circle, Kings Avenue, Parkes Way.
Exit from transition at the western end of the compound where the Mount zone is marked. Proceed along Parkes Way and take the second exit off-ramp to Lady Denman Drive (and National Aquarium). Ride down the off-ramp and turn right under the Tuggeranong Parkway, on the wrong side of the road. Turn right again immediately onto the on-ramp to rejoin the Parkway, now heading in the opposite direction (north). Stay left now and you will automatically take the exit onto William Hovell Drive.
Follow William Hovell Drive, then turn left into Coppins Crossing Road. Descend into the Crossing, taking extreme care as there is a sharp left then right hand turn before the bridge that should not be taken at high speed. Once through the Crossing, continue to the T intersection and turn left onto Uriarra Road and follow it up to the T intersection with Cotter Road. Turn left (east) onto Cotter Road, continue through the traffic lights at Streeton Drive staying to the left in the lane coned off for cyclists and continue to the Tuggeranong Parkway intersection overpass.
Take the first exit ramp to yoru left onto the Parkway and follow it to the first off-ramp onto Lady Denman Drive. Proceed down the ramp, right under the Parkway, on the wrong side of the road until passing the off-ramp from the north, then cross to the left side of the road and continue to the T intersection with Lady Denman Drive.
Turn right onto Lady Denman Drive and follow it until you reach the roundabout intersection with Cotter Road.
Turn left (east) onto Cotter Road staying in the coned lane set aside for cyclists. Take the next left into Dunrossil Drive and ride all the way down to the Governor Generalšs residence (Yarralumla). Turn left into the carpark and turn back onto Dunrossil Dve at the end of the carpark. Ride back to Cotter Road, turn left and continue on to Adelaide Avenue. Continue along Adelaide Avenue, turn left into State Circle, staying in the left hand lane, and proceed around to Kings Avenue where you turn left.
Follow Kings Avenue, cross Kings Avenue Bridge and turn left (west) onto Parkes Way.

The run consists of 5km out and 5km back totalling 10 km. At all times, keep to the left hand side of the cycle path.
Exit the transition where you entered from the swim at the western end. Turn left onto the cycle path, towards Kings Ave bridge.
Proceed east on the cycle path, under the bridge and along Menindee Drive (staying to the left of the road) turning right onto the cycle path after you pass the hospice on your right.
Follow the cycle path, continuing onto the gravel road opposite Duntroon keeping to the right side of the road until you and re-enter the cycle path at the end of the carpark. Continue on the cycle path, crossing the bridge at Diary Flat Rd, and onto the turnaround at the 5km mark. Your race number will be recorded at this point.
Return back the same way towards Commonwealth Park and enter the finish chute by leaving the cycle path just after the little bridge at the eastern end of the grassed area. Proceed to the finish line and recovery area.
